RDRS Staff Retreat 2014 held in Kolkata
RDRS staff retreat 2014 was held during 24-27 March at Kenilworth Hotel, Kolkata, India. The theme of the retreat was Reflection and Way Forward. A total of 19 senior staff took part in the event.
In the 4-day event, the main topics were discussed as follows: review of three-year achievements (2011-2013) in the framework of RDRS strategic Plan 2011-2016; operational plan for next three-year (2014-16); resource mobilization; outcome and impact orientation; updates on midterm review, organizational capacity assessment, baseline study, operational manual, procurement policy, gender policy; branding RDRS; RDRS website; capacity building of RDRS (institutional, programmatic and financial sustainability). The retreat was concluded followed by a workshop on Management and Leadership.
The following Action Plan was taken in the event – conducting baseline study; mid-term review of RDRS strategy (2011-13); organizational capacity assessment; staff capacity development plan; finalization of operational plan for next 3-year (2014-16); developing software to keep record of the program participants properly; strengthening monitoring system; strengthening organizational visibility; updating data archive on RDRS and Northwest Bangladesh; updating monitoring checklist for programs/projects; and developing a business plan for resource mobilization.
The RDRS staff retreat 2014 was led by Dr. Salima Rahman, Executive Director of RDRS Bangladesh.
