SYSTEM
OF EDUCATION
At the RDRS University, the system of
education will be course-credit and semester
based, and the curriculum will reflect
the interest of students from all parts
of the world for preparing them for leadership
and service in a multi-cultural, multi-institutional,
global and technologically developed society.
ORGANISATION
RDRS University will be governed by the
Bangladesh Private University ACT 1992
and Amendment ACT 1998. The Executive
President will be the administrative chief
of RDRS while the academic chief will
be the Vice-chancellor, the Treasurer,
the Academic Council, the Registrar and
other officers of RDRS university as per
rules and regulations of the Private University
Act.
SCOPE OF RDRS UNIVERSITY
RDRS University will be an independent
private university having the power and
authority of providing education and training
and to confer degrees, diplomas and certificates
in all branches of knowledge including
Natural Resources, Agribusiness, Community
Health Management, Business Administration,
Computer and Information Technology etc.
Other disciplines will be covered gradually
with the approval of the University Grants
Commission.
ON CAMPUS STUDIES
Campus based instructional mode will
follow the usual practice of class-room
lectures and tests, interaction, practical
exercise, assignments etc.
No residency will be required for distance
learning programs but candidates must
take the final examination with the on
campus students. They may also require
attending a viva voce in RDRS University
Campus to defend their thesis.
FACULTY AND RESOURCE PERSONS
RDRS University will have services of
well-qualified, trained, and resourceful
persons for its education purposes from
local and foreign countries as per rules
and regulations. For campus-based education,
both full-time and part-time faculty members
will be appointed.
RDRS may also recruit qualified academicians
from overseas with approval from government.
RDRS University will avail of the advantage
of distance learning education in future.
